| The inlingua Method |
At inlingua, we recognize that there are essential differences in the language interests and goals of different individuals and follow a customized approach to learning.
Our courses allow our students to first get a basic working knowledge of General English and then later develop advanced skills in the language, through our Value Added Services. In this way we make certain that our students receive a program that is relevant to them.
Our difference
Our objective is to impart confidence in the student’s ability to speak English. We believe that in improving their oral communication or speaking skills we build confidence in the student to use English and further encourage him/her to develop reading and writing skills as well.
Our principles
In class the students learn by speaking and listening. They are encouraged to participate in ‘real life’ activities, role-plays and discussions where they are required to speak and listen to their colleagues and instructor. This gives them a chance to apply what they are learning and prepares them to face similar situations in the real world, confidently. The inlingua method is also significantly different from the lecture method since 70% of the class time is spent by the students speaking in the target language.
Reading and writing are deliberately ignored during class. The students are required to work on these skills at home through the inlingua materials given to them when they register for a course.
