The iClubs provide an opportunity for students to specialize and sharpen their skills in challenging situations. The emphasis is on integrated learning and the iClubs allow our students to experience different aspects of the language.
Students can take the iClubs individually or in groups. They are useful for both starters as well as advanced students looking to brush-up on specific skills. The sessions on offer vary according to the season and level. You will need to check with your nearest inlingua center on the sessions being offered at the time.
This is one of our most popular clubs and gives students an opportunity to practise in an informal setting with other students of a similar level. The sessions are under the guidance of an instructor who will provide stimulating and challenging topics as well as give constructive suggestions.
Group Discussions are widely used as a selection aid to assess the personality of a candidate and determine his/her suitability for the job in hand. They are also used as selection criteria for admission to business schools. This iClub allows students to exchange information and ideas as well as giving them the experience of working in a team. It is quite informal and students can speak in favor of a topic, against it or take a neutral path.
This iClub is very interactive as students on one side try to prevail over students on the other side by presenting a superior argument within the given context. The quality and depth of a debate improves with the knowledge and skill of its participants as debaters. Regular participants learn to offer more constructive, subtle and strategic arguments as they gain experience. At periodic intervals throughout the year, a formal debating contest is held for students from all the inlingua New Delhi centers.
The Interview iClub provides students with an opportunity test their communication skills in an interview scenario. Regular participants gradually become more comfortable in any job interview situation and are able to project a confident and positive image of themselves to an interviewing panel. Each interview is recorded and played back for feedback purposes.
These one-to-one sessions help students overcome specific problems connected with the structure of the language. Intensive work is done to eliminate recurring errors that cannot always be tackled efficiently in a group situation.
| Students can work in tandem with an instructor, on a one-to-one basis, with the aim of improving particular aspects of their pronunciation. The intensive nature of the sessions means that rapid improvement is made as the student's specific weaknesses are targeted. | |
